Obama Throws Blacks the Trayvon Race Bone

President Barack Obama using the White House Press Briefing Room July 19, 2013 to speak about Trayvon Martin’s killing was beneath the office of the presidency. Did the four Americans slain by terrorists in Benghazi get this much attention from Obama? More like avoidance.

Since when did the death of one black teen rise to the level of a national crisis? Since the race hucksters and pimps like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson decided it so and Obama obliged.

“First of all, I want to make sure that, once again, I send my thoughts and prayers, as well as Michelle’s, to the family of Trayvon Martin,” Obama said.

“Once again” because in 2012 after Trayvon Martin was shot in self-defense by George Zimmerman, Obama thought it was his presidential duty to wade into the “episode” and take sides without knowing facts. “If I had a son, he would look like Trayvon,” Obama declared, reinforcing the exploitation of white on black racism pushed by Sharpton and his gang.  Uhm, when Hadiya Pendleton was gunned down in Chicago in January 2012, by two young black gang bangers, days after she performed at his second inaugural, Obama didn’t say, “Hadiya looks like my daughters.” Was that because Obama finds black on black killings palatable?

Obama has never bothered to speak about the mass scale killing of blacks by blacks right in his own home of Chicago. Last year 500 people were killed in Chicago, mostly black. This year the toll has already reached 200. Never mind the young blacks killed in DC everyday, some a stone’s throw away from the White House.

Why was Trayvon special? Because the race baiters like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson demanded Obama prove he was “down with the brown” before a trial was held. These race hustlers turned Zimmerman into a “white Hispanic” to perpetuate their faux race war, portraying him as a cold-blooded killer because Trayvon Martin was black. They ignored the fact Martin, wearing a hoodie, looked suspicious to Zimmerman because he was  walking around a neighborhood at night in which he didn’t live and which had experienced numerous burglaries.

One minute Obama is telling the Congressional Black Caucus he’s “president of all Americans” and can’t be bothered to meet with them but once every two years or address their grievances about problems disproportionately harming blacks under his presidency like higher unemployment and diminished wealth. In the next minute, the president  weighs in on a fabricated race war intended to drive the races further apart, taking the side of angry black mob.

Why did Obama give his little race talk? To not only dominate the weekend news cycle, making it all about himself and boost his approval ratings but also to throw his loyal black constituents the black bone they’ve been begging for—attention and recognition. Instead of focusing on real policies that address the problems blacks are facing, what he did for gays with gay marriage and Hispanics with immigration reform, Obama took the easy way out and sided with blacks in their Zimmerman rage.  A speech, which Obama does well, doesn’t require accountability but polices do.

“If Trayvon Martin was of age and armed, could he have stood his ground on that sidewalk? And do we actually think that he would have been justified in shooting Mr. Zimmerman who had followed him in a car because he felt threatened?” noted Obama.

Obama’s underlying message to black Americans was they should have no confidence in our judicial system and the jury got it wrong in the Zimmerman trial. What a way to incite more protests and racial hatred in this country. More disturbing about the president’s remarks was his oblique reference “that some of the violence that takes place in poor black neighborhoods around the country is born out of a very violent past in this country, and that the poverty and dysfunction that we see in these communities can be traced to a very difficult past.”

Obama implies that somehow evil white people are inflicting this violence on blacks when it’s blacks who have turned neighborhoods into war zones and ghettos all on their own WITHOUT THE HELP OF WHITE PEOPLE. Young black men are killing more than young white men and that’s why they are profiled by police and feared by everyone. A black security guard in DC recently told me when he leaves work at night he doesn’t worry about the white men walking around but the black men “because they are the ones committing most of the crimes.”

Why is this happening? Because more black babies are born without fathers than fathers. To the tune of 73% of black babies born out of wedlock. In Richmond, Virginia 86% of black families are headed by single parents, mostly women.

In 1965, then Assistant Secretary of Labor Daniel Patrick wrote in his report The Negro Family, the Case for National Action, that illegitimate births for blacks was 23%, which was causing a rise in dependency on welfare among blacks. He warned President Johnson the nation should develop policies “to strengthen the Negro family so as to enable it to raise and support its members as do other families.”

When children don’t grow up in an intact home that is among loving married parents, they drop out of school, turn to drugs, crime and other risky behavior at a higher rate. Trayvon Martin’s death is tragic. Zimmerman shouldn’t have followed him but he did out of criminal suspicions. It’s not fair all black men are profiled and racism still exists.

But it’s a dishonest, hackneyed narrative for Obama to use Martin’s death to continue to treat blacks as powerless victims. Nearly 50 years after the Civil Rights Act was signed into law, the inconvenient truth is that blacks are causing 90% of their own problems, need to take responsibility for their own actions and start participating in the equality Martin Luther King and others died for.

In his paternalistic, treating all blacks as one, remarks,” Obama said Americans need “to figure out how are we doing a better job helping young African American men feel that they’re a full part of this society and that they’ve got pathways and avenues to succeed.”

Obama is the nation’s first black president. It looks like black men have more than their fair share of opportunities to succeed in America. After five years in office perhaps Obama should focus on the real issues facing our country like our economy’s persistent malaise, the IRS scandal and  the growing crisis in the Middle East thanks to his lack of a foreign policy on Syria, Iran and Egypt.

The liberal news media too needs get real about doing its job of covering this president: realize Obama is nothing special besides being the first black president and see there was nothing “remarkable” about his Trayvon Martin remarks. Then perhaps these reporters can hold Obama accountable to the same standards of his white predecessors.

Martin, a 17 year old black teen tragically contributed to his own death by starting a fight with Zimmerman.

I’m not sure why people continue to state this as fact. We don’t know how the fight started and no one could prove nor disprove Zimmerman’s account. All we know is that Zimmerman clearly came out on the loosing end of the fight, but we don’t know who started it.

There is evidence that the fight didn’t start the specific way that Zimmerman claims (“you got a problem homie”). So this, among other things, questions Zimmerman’s credibility.

I’m watching you on Dr. Drew right now and I’m truly disgusted and amazed at the anti-Black stances that you take. You are the worst type of dangerous person for the Black community. We all know what the drug dealer represents, but what you represent is far more dangerous. You represent a person who hates themselves so much that you don’t mind being the succubus of the very people who hate you. Do you understand that you’re being used worse than a NYC prostitute? They laugh behind your back and call you a good negro. Thank God people like you aren’t respected within the community. If it was up to people like you, we would still be saying ‘yes master.’

  6. I wonder what the responses would be if the POTUS would have sent jets to bomb Syria would be???
Dammed if you do damme if you don’t.
You can please some of the people some of the time but you cannot please all the people all the time.
I am not second guessing why I voted for this brother.

Despite the above, I am delighted that women have their children as opposed to aborting them.

  8. Nyte says:

I am certainly a supporter of marriage and no relations until married. But the current scapegoating of black men at the alter of pregnant women who on their own volition had relations with these men —

Knowing full well that one of the consequences would pregnancy is just a failure to take responsibility for your behavior. Question: Before you had relations with the gentleman you are now clling a ‘dog’, did you inform him that it was expected that he be responsible for any resulting children? If not why are you now sueing for alimoney?

He was in it for the pleasure if something else was expected — it seems a violation of the agreed upon act to now extort him out home and hearth because you lacked the self discioline to say no, insist on provention or address the matter fromyour end.

Why is your child his burden?

Tee needs some therapy. He seems to know much about a person he probably has not met in his life. He calls her a mockery to blacks as if by law being black means you must support liberals and dismiss the rampant black on white violence ever since the Martin verdict. Also, This mockery assumes that their are behavioral rules to being black and you can’t be an independent individual and must instead follow the black establishment. Tee should follow his own advice and make the sex tape first to show how its done with class and how a black person does it as not to be confused with a horrible conservative white person. And who cares about your advertising? Probably would not want to advertise on Lee website anyway.

It intrigues me that the title of this article seems to disassociate yourself from black society. As a conservative I can understand it is difficult. However I saw Obama’s reference to the Martin family as a response to African American culture. That case was a flashpoint which triggered our inner most fears, and a lack of true dialogue proliferates our on opinions and stereotypes. I have a light skin tone, yet when I came home, I had to console my dark skinned mother whose fears of the outside world targeting me for a racial moment were validated by the Martin case. Obama was not throwing a bone and validating black victimization, which by the way I find to be acute due to the complexity of black socioeconomic relations. Obama has done his best with jobs, The IRS scandal which investigated liberal groups as well, not just conservatives. But back to black society, we are a divided community, and because of our troubled past, we have further divided ourselves based on skin tone, background, and socioeconomic upbringing. Because of this we as a community can not come together. However add to the fact that America as a society is more segregated than it was in the 1950’s and you see the consistent divide and which cultures you inherit, where exposure to certain levels breeds white hate, but others breed black hate and self hate. There is no mention that in Asia and Africa, the idea of being white has more positive connotations, giving rise to the bleaching of skin in those continents. So I believe you are being a bit disingenuous when you say that 90% of black society problems are their own. Being born black obviously creates a more difficult starting block. Take into account the cutting of education and after school programs across states, the areas which are hit hardest are of course the poor minority areas, who need it the most, and there will probably be a rise in youth violence. But it takes a village to raise a child, and what was so shocking was that in the eyes of the outside world, it doesn’t matter if you have 1 parent or 2, you are still a suspicious looking minority and prone to being followed, questioned, and harassed.

  11. Gil says:

“The liberal news media too needs get real about doing its job of covering this president: realize Obama is nothing special besides being the first black president…” It is precisely BECAUSE Obama is the first black president, that the liberal media does not hold him accountable for his inaction on important issues. Their attitude is that he must be not only protected, but he must be revered by all, and they see their job is to sell that attitude.

The media has been inordinately supportive of the left in this country for the last 40+ years (that I can account for – perhaps it’s been longer), but not in the slobbering, blind, almost maniacal way they they pimp Obama. Perhaps they fear that to do otherwise would coast them a large percentage of their audience.

I believe there are many blacks more capable of fulfilling the office of POTUS. Among whom are LtCol Alan West (USA, Ret), Alan Keyes, Condi Rice, and Thomas Sowell – any of whom appear to be (based upon statements they have made, past and present) more dedicated to the success and growth of prosperity in our country than Obama.

Ariel and Toya, after reading your comments there is not much to be added. But I will say to Ms. Wright, some of your comments are true but not always the case in every situation and events in everyday life. People should be able to be people on an equal playing field and “opportunity” is not always available for everyone to obtain the chance to become the “person” you wish us all to be. You admit racism still exist, but in the same words you’re saying life is fair, everyone just has to “suck it up” and prosper. Well easier said then done. I suggest to you, rethink your thoughts or maybe just think before you speak and not try so hard to appease your audience that believes in you.

  13. Sarcastro says:

    Ms. Wright:

Thanks for providing a new, distinct voice in Black political discourse. While many continue to drink the Obama Kool-Aid, you have charted your own path. As someone of very similar political thought and background, your stance is to be admired.

Ignore the yes-people of the Obama camp. Obama is never going to be accountable for anything he says or does because those “evil conservatives” have it out for him. Never mind the President is more concerned about vacation time and celebrity endorsements than actually doing what his minions voted him in for.

  14. mr plainfield NJ says:

Well I would like to say I am a 36 year old black male with a nice job, masters degree and law abiding citizen. However, I a still afraid when I am profiled by police because of my skin color and that I drive a high end vehicle. What about me? I am not like most ” dangerous” black men.

  15. Tiffany says:

“When children don’t grow up in an intact home that is among loving married parents, they drop out of school, turn to drugs, crime and other risky behavior at a higher rate. Trayvon Martin’s death is tragic. Zimmerman shouldn’t have followed him but he did out of criminal suspicions. It’s not fair all black men are profiled and racism still exists.” *claps hands*

    The end.

  16. Tee says:

I can’t stand you. I see you don’t have any advertisements on your site because you are crap. You hate yourself. If you could become white you would in a heartbeat. I am so sick of seeing you on tv. The media is using you to make a mockery of blacks. They love to show how much you hate being black. But I must say that you are very sexy. Make a sextape or something. Then you will be relevant. You truly disgust me.
