No Hope for Obama; It’s Mitt Time

Many people would say the biggest mistake President Barack Obama made was getting elected President of the United States. He’s presided over one of the worst economies since the Great Depression where unemployment has been stuck over 8% for 41 straight months and our soaring debt earned America its first credit downgrade in history. Obama has spent America ($5 trillion to date) into a black hole of zero opportunity; diminished America’s standing in the world and divided citizens against each other at home. He has accomplished all this while blaming Bush, Republicans, Washington and every one under the sun except the man in the mirror, himself, for his incompetence as president.

Yet, in the face of this abysmal record, Obama’s arrogance is unwavering. During a cream puff interview with CBS anchor Charlie Rose, Obama said his biggest mistake as president was focusing too much on policy and not doing enough storytelling. Of course the opposite is true. Obama hasn’t focused on policies to improve the economy or our standing in the world.

He has had a myopic fixation on story telling, destructive stories pitting classes against one another, stories of blame and stories vilifying businesses and hard working Americans for achieving success.

“The mistake during my first term, a couple of years was thinking that this job was about getting the policy right. And that’s important but you know the nature of this office is to tell a story to the American people that gives them a sense of unity, and purpose and optimism, especially during tough times. It’s funny when I ran everybody said you give a great speech but can he manage the job,” remarked Obama.

After nearly four years, we know Obama can’t manage anything and that’s his biggest problem. It’s stunning a president would think his job is to tell the American people stories rather than fix the country’s problems. These comments demonstrate how out of touch, in over his head and “me” centric Obama is as president of the greatest country on earth.

Ironically, Obama campaigned on uniting blue and red Americans, healing the nation and he’s done just the opposite. Obama has waged war on nearly every segment of the population to divide the country asunder: class warfare; the war on women (stay at home vs. working); the war on religion (Catholic church contraception battle and support of gay marriage); war on race (Hispanic amnesty program) and the war on business.

As he tries to deflect attention from his lousy record to Mitt Romney’s tax returns, Obama sounds more ridiculous by the day.  Last week at a campaign stop in Roanoke, VA, Obama declared people don’t build businesses.

“If you’ve got a business you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn’t get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet, so then all the companies could make money off the Internet. The point is that when we succeed, we succeed because of our individual initiative, but also because we do things together,” said Obama.

If people don’t build businesses, what the HELL do all of us do all day? We the people, who build and work at businesses, pay taxes that fund Obama’s salary and government. So businesses are people. And people who achieve success through hard work should not have their money taxed at higher rates and redistributed to others to subsidize their prosperity. That’s called collectivism another word for socialism another word for communism another word for the nanny state

In a fiery retort from a rally in Pittsburgh, Romney reminded Obama, people work hard to build businesses and ‘‘I tell you this. I’m convinced that he wants Americans to be ashamed of success.’’

As a former business owner Romney said, ‘‘To say that Steve Jobs didn’t build Apple, that Henry Ford didn’t build Ford Motors, that Papa John didn’t build Papa John Pizza … To say something like that, it’s not just foolishness. It’s insulting to every entrepreneur, every innovator in America.’’

This election isn’t about Mitt Romney’s tax returns. This election is about restoring America and her people to prosperity again which Obama failed to do. As a former governor, who worked with Democrats, brought down Massachusetts unemployment, reformed education and a former CEO of Bain Capital who helped companies thrive and create jobs, Romney is immensely more qualified to lead the country out of this malaise than Obama. On the trail, Romney talks of uplifting all Americans out of this economic nightmare through reduced government spending, tax reform and repealing job killing laws like Obamacare.

During their joint interview with Charlie Rose, Michelle Obama said, smiling, “I mean, hope doesn’t get actualized in three and a half years.”

Hope doesn’t rule a nation, results and effective policy do; two things that will never be actualized under Obama. This president is destroying our country from the inside out and the outside in. If Obama was white, the media and liberal Americans would have excoriated him LONG AGO. OBAMA HAS NO CLUE WHAT HE IS DOING AND IS MORE CONCERNED WITH HIMSELF THAN AMERICA’S PROSPERITY. It’s time for Mitt Romney. Let the race begin!

You made my day and good for you. So good to see and hear that all black people have not been duped.

….With good reason “Real Black Men and Women” do not respect President Barack Obama, Clarence Thomas, Maxine “Kerosene” Waters, other members of the Congressional Black Clueless…AKA….the Congressional Black Caucus, Herb Wesson, etc., etc., ….because they know like I know, these individuals are treasonous, sellouts, disgraceful, inept elected officials, etc.

    Best Regards,

  5. ROY GUENTHER says:

if bho is reelected our only hope will be to suck off the government teat. there will be no incentive to work hard in a small business for thirty some years.

  6. Sherry says:

Is it ridiculous for me to say that Obama knows exactly what he is doing to this country? It’s pretty scary, but then doesn’t the bible warn us about these things? Doesn’t mean my vote doesn’t count though!!

  7. A Real Black Woman says:

And by the way, I would like you to ask your “Good Ole Boys” republican party friends one question, “Just who do they want to take the country back from”? Stupid, that would be the people who look like you. Dont let them tell you democrats. Its a lie. But even in the days of slavery, there existed black people like you. Just remember no matter what you may want to believe, they will always see a black woman first. You cant change that.

I’m sure I won’t get an answer to Matt since this is an older post but I’m just wondering where het gets his facts. What information does he have to support his claims? Also, just wondering if you know that supporters of Obama (in the government) have been charged for not paying taxes. I don’t know that there has been any charges against Romney for defrauding the IRS but I’m assuming you are just using facetious language.

Also, just to let you know-if you have your employer manage retirement accounts for you, you may have funds in off shore accounts. Obama is relying on un-educated people to believe his rhetoric. Maybe you should try not to be un-educated.

  9. D.olver says:

Jobs overseas are created and paid for by North American unwilling to pay higher consumer prices…plain and simple.

No president, Dem or GOP can and will change that fact…but you can’t have your cake and eat it too.
To get more jobs,we have to repatriate companies from overseas, but unless there is substantial saving on transportation, manufacturing cost, including labour, that is a dead end.
Then there is the tax implaction of doing business in the US, cant hide money in overseas account.
Congress wont do anything about it, cause their job is to protect their patron.
So another fruitless election with another impotent president , doing nothing, but saying all the right thing while BIG business continue gutting America of jobs and the continuing decimation of the middle class.

I have to say. I am scared. You are literally saying the very same things that I have been preaching. I told a Liberal the other day if they felt strongly about their programs they should vote for Mitt because without money their programs will be short lived! Black, hispanic, Chinese, it doesn’t matter anymore.

I loved you on the radio today. You hit the nail on the head.

  11. Regina Bourne says:

Good article. The only thing I disagree with is that President Obama doesn’t know what he is doing. I believe he’s purposefully is working an agenda to turn US into socialist country.

  12. matt says:

Yeah, let’s get a President who has defrauded the IRS (and by extension, the American people) by hiding money in overseas bank accounts and not claiming, AS IS REQUIRED BY LAW, those monies on his tax returns.

Yeah…that’s what we want…YET ANOTHER Republican CRIMINAL. I swear, conservatives should just relabel themselves as gullible IDIOTS. Think of it this way: it’s easier to type out “I’m an idiot” than “I’m a conservative”. Same thing is being said, just quicker.

  13. Dena Brown says:

Is this black conservative chick for real?!?!?! Lady, have several seats.

    OBAMA 2012

  14. Jack T says:

Probably one of the best blog reads I’ve had the pleasure of reading. It’s solidly written and calling it like it is. He’s by far the worst President we’ve elected in a very, very long time.

Still for me, 2 years and still no full time employment. Of course trying to start my own business would be a bad thing because I could NEVER do that on my own, – at least that’s what B.O. says.

  15. Noel says:

Keep up the good work. Help rid America of this idiot-in-chief!

  16. James Walker says:

    Great post!

‘Roanoke rhetoric’ demonstrates how clueless Obama is about how clueless he is. He is like that guy at the party that is wasted and trying to act sober and thinking he is ‘charming.’ Drunk on power without a doubt.

Personally I could see through Obama the first time I heard him speak.

To save America we must fire Obama.

Our government suffers from inefficiency, corruption and lack of leadership. These are the same problems that were causing the Olympics in Utah to fail. Romney turned that around and he will turn our country around because he knows first hand how to lead and manage and will surround himself with others who can do the same. That is the key.

Obama has dragged his ‘Chicago gangsta’ crew into the White House and every facet of our government. When Romney is elected the heads will roll.

    Here is what will happen:

    1) government administration hiring freeze
    2) A freeze on government travel
    3) Mandatory 10% budget reduction across the board… No exceptions.

All of these things are not only doable but necessary.

  17. Dennis Shumate says:

    Nailed it! Great article, Crystal.

  18. Pam says:

Obama makes Jimmy Carter look competent, and Bill Clinton look ethical. He is an utter failure, a liar, and an empty suit.

  19. Balladeer says:

Nicely put! Obama is pretty much Jimmy Carter squared!

  20. namaste says:

the more obama talks, the more inept he looks. especially with his recent business comments. as you said, he prefers to tell stories instead of make attempts to (do his job) fix the problems. great post! 🙂

    GO MITT!!
